Pick and Cook Day
Friday, 18 June 2010, 10:00 - 14:00

beansFriday 18 June, 10am-2pm

Moulescoomb Forest Garden continues with their hugely successful Pick and Cook events. On these days children (and adults) roam the project, picking whatever is ready to eat. Anna Schwarz, the Food Partnership's amazing community chef, then cooks it all up. Vegetable soup, salad with olive oil and fresh raspberry dressing, pancakes with raspberries, pakoras, vegetable skewers and smoothies were some of the dishes served up at previous events. The events get children and adults to try food they wouldn’t normally eat as well as showing them how to cook it.

Location: Moulescoomb Forest Garden, Moulsecoomb Place Allotments, Queensdown School Road (behind Moulscoomb train station), Brighton, East Sussex BN1 3XG

Entry fee: This event is free, but pre-booking is required.
